La mia storia
Sono nato nel 1965 e ho imbracciato la mia prima chitarra all’età di dieci anni. Fu l’inizio di un viaggio lungo e a volte interrotto, ma mai davvero concluso. Negli anni ’80 ho studiato chitarra classica nello studio di Enzo Ponziani, collega e amico di mio padre. Quella formazione classica ha lasciato un’impronta profonda nel mio modo di sentire e scrivere la musica, soprattutto nel gusto melodico che ancora oggi emerge nelle mie canzoni.
All’inizio degli anni ’90, il richiamo del rock e del blues si fece sempre più forte. Fondai con alcuni compagni di scuola il mio primo gruppo musicale: gli Ex Cantina Band. I nostri riferimenti erano chiari e viscerali: Eric Clapton, Dire Straits, Pink Floyd. Ma poi, come spesso accade, la vita mi portò altrove, e per un lungo periodo abbandonai la chitarra.
Eppure, la chitarra ha le forme di una donna. E come ogni grande amore, prima o poi ti richiama a sé.
Nel 1995 entrai nei Dejavoodoo, una rock-blues cover band in cui suonavo la chitarra ritmica e cantavo da voce solista. Il nome diceva tutto: un tributo al blues elettrico e viscerale dei grandi maestri come Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Buddy Guy. Erano anni in cui a Roma si faceva musica nei locali… e si veniva pagati per farlo. Anni vivi, intensi, pieni di palco e sudore.
Oggi continuo a esibirmi come voce e chitarra solista nella Alzheimer rock band insieme ad artisti provenienti da background e stili musicali diversi, che donano al repertorio un sapore ampio e contaminato.
Nel settembre del 2024 ho intrapreso il mio cammino da solista.
Il 2025 si è rivelato un anno di profonda trasformazione.

My Story
I was born in 1965 and picked up my first guitar at the age of ten. That was the beginning of a long journey—at times paused, but never truly abandoned.
In the 1980s, I studied classical guitar under Enzo Ponziani, a colleague and friend of my father. That classical foundation deeply shaped my melodic sense, which still echoes in my songwriting today.
By the early ’90s, the call of rock and blues became irresistible. I formed my first band, Ex Cantina Band, with a few schoolmates. Our musical heroes were clear and powerful: Eric Clapton, Dire Straits, Pink Floyd. Then life took me down a different path, and for many years, I set the guitar aside.
But the guitar has the shape of a woman. And like any great love, it eventually calls you back.
In 1995, I joined a blues-rock cover band called Dejavoodoo, playing rhythm guitar and taking the lead vocals. The name said it all—a tribute to the electric blues spirit of Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Buddy Guy, and other legendary guitarists. Those were the days when playing live in Rome’s venues still meant getting paid. We played many gigs across the capital, living the music fully.
Today, I perform as lead singer and guitarist in a new cover rock band (Alzheimer Rock Band) whose members bring influences from various genres, adding a broader musical character to our sound.
In September 2024, I began my solo career.
2025 has turned out to be a year of deep transformation.
